Eighties Nights!!

Remember the Eighties? No, not the clichéd media-memory of the "decade that
taste forgot" that consists of Wham, Kajagoogoo and Five Star! Think more of the tunes
played on BBC's brilliant Ashes To Ashes series that featured classier stuff from the likes of
Duran Duran, Tears For Fears, Depeche Mode and much more.

On Friday 23rd April 2010, local synth-covers legends Syntronix teamed up with me for a massive
Eighties party at The 12 Bar, Swindon. The night featured a 2 hour live set by the band who've been
building up a massive following since their formation in 2006 and have recently expanded their sound
to include live guitar (their cover of "Personal Jesus" is truly special). Before, after and inbetween
(they always play 2 sets!), I filled in the gaps with more synth classics.

As you can see, the night was pretty much a sellout and was such a huge success that we'll be
doing it all over again at the same venue on Friday 17th December (exactly one week before Xmas).
It's gonna be a great party so, stay tuned for more details!! In the meantime, I'll be playing another show with Syntronix at The Moonrakers in Swindon on Friday 17th September. Click below for more details...

Also, another Eighties-tinged night is coming up at The Furnace on Saturday 7th August.
I'll be teaming up with my old partner-in-crime Mark E Moon and spinning nothing but 70s/80s
tunes right up until 3am and the live music earlier in the night will be provided by
Sigue Sigue Sputnik Electronic (yes, that's THE Sigue Sigue Sputnik,
well, ok, one of them! ;) and a New York Dolls tribute.
